Mission Statement
The fully online Master of Financial Management (MFM) degree represents a hybrid between accounting and finance, providing students with the skills necessary to launch their financial careers. The curriculum integrates aspects of accounting, taxation, finance and economics to emphasize the skills and mindset necessary for students to be a successful professional.
If a student earned an undergraduate accounting degree, the MFM degree and certificate options help meet the 150 credit-hour requirement to sit for CPA exams in most states, while providing more specialized training than a general MBA degree.
Full-time students can complete their degree within one full year if they enroll in two courses each half-semester (e.g., Fall I, Fall II, Spring I, Spring II, etc.), including the summer. Part-time students can complete the degree within two full years if you enroll in one course each half-semester, including summer.
At least 21 credit hours must be unique to the MFM degree program.
