HST 348 - The Age of Discovery: Europe 1300–17003.00 credit hours This course examines the concept of discovery, broadly defined, from the years 1300–1700. It examines the impact and consequences of European exploration of the East and West. The course moves beyond the scope of exploration to consider intellectual discoveries in science and theological and social discoveries that define and clarify concepts such as, but not limited to, rationality and belief and orthodoxy and heresy.
Prerequisite(s): One 200-level history course or instructor consent. ACR: Intercultural.
