EDN 630 - Schools as Learning Communities 3.00 credit hours This course is a study of the myriad and complex interactions that take place within a school community. The emphasis is on the school as a learning organization. It examines basis theories, attributes and functions of human organizations, issues related to motivation, the management of group dynamics and human relations, organizational change, and the nature of leadership within the school environment. The course considers the application of organizational theories, notably systems thinking, to central issues in K-12 education.
