MNM 530 - Board Governance and Development 3.00 credit hours This course is designed to improve understanding of the elements, processes, and dynamics of board governance so that board members are prepared and equipped to assume their responsibilities effectively. Topics include the role of the nonprofit board of directors, recruitment and orientation of new board members, as well as assessment of boards. Students explore strategies and tools to enhance board engagement and ensure effective communication between the board, senior leadership and staff.
