MNM 540 - Human Resource and Volunteer Management 3.00 credit hours Examines the methods of developing, supervising, motivating and recognizing both volunteers and staff in a nonprofit organization. Students explore topics such as recruiting and hiring selection, training and development, diversity in the workplace, compensation and benefits, performance appraisal, employment law, and discipline in a nonprofit setting. Particular emphasis is placed on the role of volunteers in the organization, and how to effectively recruit, supervise and motivate volunteers.
