KINE 115 - Swimming

2.00 credit hours
Instruction and practice of swimmingskills including survival skills, treading water, floating, side stroke (crawl), modified breast stroke, modified freestyle and modified backstroke. This course can accommodate varying levels of instruction allowing participants to develop skills at their own pace. Advanced swimmers may be offered the option of pursuing a lifeguard certification. No previous swimming experience is required. Physical activity is required in this course. Please consult your physician prior to participating. If you have a concern regarding the activity, please consult the instructor.

Prerequisite(s): Must be able to swim one length of pool.
