MLS 648 - Social Consequences of New Media3.00 credit hours A study of the confluence of “new media” technology and its implications for profound social change, impacting everything from the way we raise our children to the way we conduct war. This course explores both the beneficial and detrimental aspects of new media, focusing especially on solutions to probable detrimental effects before long term trends set in.
