PHYS 160 - Physics of the Fast and Small2.00 credit hours An introductory overview to concepts of both special relativity and quantum mechanics. For special relativity, we will develop and make use of space-time diagrams, Lorentz transformations, and relativistic invariants. For quantum mechanics, we will introduce foundational ideas and discuss applications such as quantum information science.
Prerequisite(s): Precalculus (Algebra & Trigonometry) competence.
