CARD 300 - Cardinal Internship2.00 credit hours Internships are a form of experiential learning that integrate knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application in a professional setting. The Cardinal Internship course is concurrent with the student’s internship experience and is a combination of in-person and online classes, designed to bring together interns from across campus to process and reflect upon what they are learning and experiencing at the internship site. The course helps students make the most of the internship experience through personal reflection and engagement with classmates so that they can better navigate the world of work and articulate the value of the internship experience. This is an experiential learning course. As a course-based internship experience, students will be on internship sites throughout the week and will meet primarily online to discuss their internship experiences. The course will be delivered in a blended format.
Prerequisite(s): CARD 250 or other Career Preparation course. Cardinal Directions Designation(s): Career Experiential.
