BIOL 390 - Careers in Biological Sciences2.00 credit hours
Career options in the biological sciences are explored through guest speakers, class discussion, readings, and self-evaluation. Career areas discussed will include medicine and the allied health fields, research in academia and industry, government, education, and others. Students will attend and critique the weekly seminar series, identify skills and strengths, learn to prepare C.V.’s and cover letters, develop scientific presentation skills, learn about the diversity of career areas available in the biological sciences.
