RADT 412 - Radiation Safety and Protection1.00 credit hours This course provides fundamental knowledge of the effects of radiation exposure on biologic systems. Emphasis is placed on the radiation interaction on a cellular level, including the formation of free radicals, chromosome breakage and repair mechanisms. Cell survival curves, acute radiation syndromes, somatic and genetic effects and in-utero exposure will also be presented.
Prerequisite(s): Admission to RADT Program.
