EDN 384 - Field Experience in Methods of Teaching English Language Learners1.00 credit hours Designed to provide students with an extended supervised field experience in an elementary, middle, or secondary school classroom with an emphasis on teaching English language learners. Students observe, assist, and teach several lessons under the joint supervision of a cooperating teacher in the school and a supervisor from NCC. Student must develop lesson plans, conduct the lessons, and evaluate their own teaching of these lessons in consultation with the cooperating teacher and the supervisor. Students submit written lesson plans along with their reflective self-evaluations after the teaching of the lessons. Req: 50 field experience hours.
Prerequisite(s): Acceptance into the Teacher Education Program. Concurrent enrollment in EDN 383 .
