HST 223 - U.S. History from 1865–19453.00 credit hours This course examines the major political, economic and social developments in the United States from the end of the Civil War to the end of World War II in order to understand the creation of modern America. During this critical period, the United States was transformed from a rural nation into an urban and industrial nation. In the late nineteenth century, America had little involvement in world affairs, but by the end of World War II, it was the most powerful military and economic force in the world.
Prerequisite(s): One humanities or social science course. Core: Humanities or Social Science.
