Mission Statement

The Kinesiology Department is dedicated to developing well-educated, lifelong learners and competent professionals. The program provides students with educational opportunities and experiences that deepen the understanding and appreciation of a commitment to physical activity and wellness, and enhance the skills and habits required for leading and promoting a healthy lifestyle in a variety of health and sports related professions.

The department contributes to personal development by instilling the values of a healthy lifestyle. A variety of majors prepare students for working in multiple settings such as health care, fitness centers, community health, the sports industry and athletic training and rehabilitation. A foundation of preparation for graduate studies is also available through different majors in Kinesiology.

Degrees offered: B.A. and B.S.
