Major Requirements
A minimum of 67 credit hours to include:

Students with equivalent background for a core course may have it waived by the department chair and substitute an additional CSC, CSE or EGR elective in its place.
*Approved by the department chair of Computer Science and Engineering.
Science
Eight credit hours of science course work chosen from Biology, Chemistry or Physics as approved by the department chair of Computer Science and Engineering. At least four credit hours must include a course with a significant laboratory component.
Mathematics
Eight credit hours of mathematics as approved by the department chair of Computer Science and Engineering; these approved courses will cover multivariable calculus, differential equations and linear algebra.
Statistics/Probability
Four credit hours of statistics and/or probability as approved by the department chair of Computer Science and Engineering.
