HIST 206 - History and Documentary Films2.00 credit hours An exploration of the ways that documentary films construct narratives about the past and communicate historical knowledge to the public. Students will examine documentary film as a method of historical production, interpret the relationship between documentary and written histories, and investigate questions of identity, representation, and historical memory. Recommended for students considering public history careers.
