MRWR 501 - Foundations of Evidence Based Medical Writing I: Writing Pre-Study - Study Design, Institutional Review Board Proposal and Research Ethics

2.00 credit hours
Core elements of evidence-based medical writing will be discussed such as identification of authorship, reference types, copyright infringement pitfalls and author guides. Students will be introduced to core elements of scientific study design, institutional review board expectations, basic statistical analysis and reporting, appraisal of scientific writing and research ethics. Students will demonstrate the ability to effectively peer review scientific works focusing on the complete and proper design, data and statistical analysis.

Prerequisite(s): Admission to MRWR certificate program.
