MRWR 510 - Grammar and Style in Medical Writing and Copyediting 2.00 credit hours The mechanics of language as well as editing concepts specific to medical manuscripts will be highlighted in this introductory course. In addition to the application of grammar guidelines and analysis of writing samples for error, readability and flow, students will learn the core expectations of AMA Manual of Style and become familiar with its online resources. An overview of roles and responsibilities of medical and regulatory writers, copy editors and freelance communicators will be explored, as well as and a review of medical terminology and nomenclature.
Prerequisite(s): Admission to the MRWR certificate program.
