NURS 521 - Healthcare Operations: Human Resource, Laws and Ethics 3.00 credit hours This course examines the intersection of law, ethics, human resources and the role of the nursing leader in the healthcare workplace. Topics such as patient rights, confidentiality, informed consent, corporate and healthcare provider liability, procreation, mandatory reporting and end-of-life decision-making will be discussed. The ways nurse leaders adapt to and challenge public policies through the policy-making process and the impact of nursing leadership on health practice, research, and education will be explored.
