CSC 501 - Foundational Concepts of Computer Science I3.00 credit hours An introduction to the foundational concepts of computer science for students with little or no programming background. Topics include programming in the Java language, working with input, output, and assignment, as well as control mechanisms for selection and iteration. In addition, functions/methods, classes and objects, searching and sorting, arrays, and an introduction to graphical user interfaces are covered. Extensive programming is required.
